Role of an intermediary: interview with Brendan Duddy

In November 2009 I traveled from Galway to Derry with Mick Ruane of Bog Dog Video & Film Productions to spend two days filming interviews with Brendan Duddy who acted as an intermediary between the British Government and the Provisional Republican leadership. He spoke about his role from the early 1970s until the 1990s and the edited footage has now been lodged in the archive at the National University of Ireland, Galway. The nature of the role played by an intermediary is the subject of this clip from the interviews, now available on the NUIG library website:

The filmed interviews will be opened to researchers at a later stage.
