17-19 October 2014: Annual conference of the Political Studies Association of Ireland. Organised by Niall O Dochartaigh, Brendan Flynn and Stacey Scriver in Galway. The conference included almost a hundred papers and guest speakers included Professor Donatella della Porta of the European University Institute and Steve Smith, President of the American Political Science Association. 18 October 2014: Northern Ireland, the Irish State and the North South Dimension. Two linked panels organised by Niall Ó Dochartaigh and Jennifer Todd at the annual conference of the Political Studies Association of Ireland, Galway.

September 2014: Transforming forms of political violence during disengagement processes. Panel organised by Niall Ó Dochartaigh and Katy Hayward, ECPR General Conference, Glasgow.

25 June 2014: Dealing with the Past in Northern Ireland, London Irish Studies Seminar Symposium, King’s College London (Organised by Prof Ian McBride KCL and Niall Ó Dochartaigh). The symposium brought together lawyers, activists, historians and political scientists to discuss the relationship between law, history and politics in dealing with the legacy of the Irish Troubles. Speakers included John Larkin (the Attorney General of Northern Ireland) and Prof Paul Bew.

18 October 2013: Roundtable on New Media, New Politics: Social Media And Conflict Transformation In Northern Ireland at the PSAI annual conference, TCD, Dublin. Co-organiser with Orna Young (ICR Belfast)

4-7 September 2013: Political Violence in Time and Space, Section at the annual conference of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) consisting of nine panels. Co-organiser with Dr Lorenzo Bosi (EUI).

13-14 May 2013: Typologies of Political Violence, workshop at the European University Institute, Florence in association with COSMOS (Centre for Social Movement Studies, EUI). Sponsored by the Irish Research Council (IRC) and the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). Co-organiser with Dr Lorenzo Bosi (EUI).

19 April 2013: The Agreement Fifteen Years On, a symposium on the Good Friday Agreement, University of Ulster, Belfast. Co-organiser with Dr Cathy Gormley-Heenan (UU) and Dr Cillian McGrattan (Swansea).

18 May 2012: Armed Conflict in Comparative Perspective, National University of Ireland Galway. Co-organiser with Prof. Sinisa Malesevic (UCD).

16 May 2012: Talking Peace: a  seminar on communication, contact and dialogue aimed at reducing or ending violence in Northern Ireland, Moore Institute, National University of Ireland Galway. Co-organiser with Prof. Ian McBride (KCL)

Sept 2010: Nationalism and Organised Violence, a conference at NUI Galway of the Centre for the Study of Nationalism and Organised Violence in association with the Political Studies Association of Ireland specialist group on Peace and Conflict. Co-organiser with Dr Katy Hayward (QUB).

May 2009: An Irish Model for Peace? A conference of the Political Studies Association of Ireland specialist group on Peace and Conflict. Co-organiser with Dr Katy Hayward (QUB) and Dr Gillian Wylie (TCD). Venue: Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin.
